CAMILA GOVEA
Trainee 

Camila Govea is a Mexican ballet dancer. At the age of 13, Govea started ballet without any previous knowledge. By the age of 16 she was training professionally in the National Ballet School "Fernando Alonso" in La Havana, Cuba, where she graduated in 2019.

During her studies in Cuba she attended several summer intensives like the Bolshoi Ballet School in 2018 and the American Ballet Theatre College Intensive in 2020. She has also been awarded scholarships such as the Orlando Ballet Trainee Program, Nashville Ballet SI, ABT SI, and Julio Bocca´s Foundation.

In 2018 she was a finalist in the International Choreographic Competition in La Havana, Cuba.

In 2019 she participated as a dancer in the movie El Rey de Todo el Mundo by the Director Carlos Saura, along with the Principal Dancer of the San Francisco Ballet, Isaac Hernández.

Later, she started as an apprentice in Anaheim Ballet from 2019 - 2020. 

 

Govea is now a trainee with Chevalier Ballet.

Her repertoire includes: Don Quixote pas de deux, Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsairse pas de deux, Sugar Plum, Walts of the Flowers and Doll in The Nutcracker, Black and White by José Parés and corps de ballet in Swan Lake.
