Chevalier Ballet New York City was established in 2018 under the keen vision and Artistic Direction of Sara Knight. It is the official ballet company of The Strand Theatre, located in Hudson Falls, NY.
Chevalier Ballet company dancers gain experience by performing and bringing their professionalism and artistry to a wide audience through touring, workshops, residencies, and cultural exchanges.
Its mission is to create the perfect environment for young dancers to hone their performing skills and gain experience as they bring the love they have for the art form to a wide array of audiences. Chevalier Ballet tours locally and internationally with a variety of offerings, that can consist of full in-theater performances, narrated in-school or family performances, lecture/demonstrations, masterclasses, and more. Each engagement is tailored to fit the presenter’s and local community’s needs.

Through diversity and inclusion, Chevalier Ballet’s repertoire presents the joy, beauty, artistry, and discipline of classical ballet and contemporary dance to a growing number of local and international art enthusiasts.
For auditions and choreographic opportunities, Chevalier Ballet New York is committed to facilitating and showcasing the work of today's up-and-coming dancers and choreographers. Chevalier provides dancers with strong classical foundations, new and aspiring choreographers, as well as the tools to create, develop, and premiere new work. Choreographers receive free rehearsal space, peer-support, artistic feedback, production, and logistical consultations, as well as the opportunity to premiere their work in performances at The Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls NY, New York City, and elsewhere.
