LILY UNGS
Trainee
Lily Ungs is originally from Des Moines, Iowa, where she danced and taught at the School of Classical Ballet and Dance. Lily danced with Ballet Des Moines II under the direction of Lori Grooters and Serkan Usta and performed classical and contemporary repertoire with Ballet Des Moines including Vivaldi (choreographed by Lori Grooters) and Cinderella (choreographed by Lori Grooters and Serkan Usta). While she lived in Des Moines, Lily also volunteered and taught with Dance Without Limits, a non-profit organization that provides dance opportunities for children with disabilities. In 2019, Lily was invited to train at Ballet West Academy in the Professional Training Division and continued there until 2022. She danced various corps and soloist roles in BW Academy productions and performed in The Nutcracker with Ballet West.
Lily has spent summers training at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and The Gelsey Kirkland Classical Ballet Academy. In 2021, she performed with ArtÉmotion in Moonlight Serenade, choreographed by Francisco Gella. Lily has also received awards for solo and ensemble performances from Youth America Grand Prix. She is currently a student at Fordham University. This is Lily’s first season with Chevalier Ballet.
